Decision Making for the Conscious Entrepreneur by Heather Strang

Conscious entrepreneurs are the guiding force in a new paradigm of business. We combine all of the aspects of what it means to be a human being – living our purpose, making a positive difference in the world, all while being connected to something larger than ourselves and living in wealth and abundance.

And as conscious entrepreneurs, we also know that we have an edge in business because we use our intuition. We let our intuitive guidance lead the way from everything to product launches, our services, marketing and promotions, and more.

But what is the conscious entrepreneur to do when a decision is unclear? When the ideas are not flowing? What does one do when the mind and intuition is split and a clear path is not, well, clear?

Below is a powerful intuitive-based decision-making process that conscious entrepreneurs can use to support themselves in gaining clarity at any level in their business:

  1. Clear the old stories (they’re bullshit anyway).
If clarity is absent, it means there are some limiting beliefs, fears and possibly even life traumas that are clouding the ability to know the best next step. So, the first thing we must do is tune in to the limitations that are there (example: ”people don’t buy products like this!” “I’m not good at this,” “No one understands how hard this is,” etc.) and that need to be cleared. Use whatever clearing tool feels best to you – anything from Bryon Katie’s “The Work” to NLP techniques. I also have a free (and easy!), 8-minute clearing session that you can use for exactly this here. Simply set your intention on clearing that limiting belief/fear/trauma, lay down and relax & enjoy.
  2. Feeling good matters.
Now, go get yourself into a good feeling place! Take yourself out for a round of golf, go dance, listen to the Conscious Millionaire podcast or any other inspiring audio, OR take a nap, go for a hike in nature – anything that will allow you to experience a more elevated good feeling place. Typically you’ll want to avoid electronics and the Internet so that you can be fully present in your body feeling good.
  3. Just do it.
After (and during) your feeling good time, you’ll notice that you have newfound energy. Ideas will be coming through. Guidance and insights may also begin pouring in. Place both hands on your heart and ask, “what inspired action should I take next?” Then do whatever pops in for you – this is often the answer to the lack of clarity you were seeking.
  4. Par-tay!
Now, it’s time to consciously acknowledge and celebrate what you’ve noticed throughout this time. Congratulate yourself on the insights you received, the clarity and the deeper knowing of Self that came through. Celebrate with a toast of champagne with someone you love. Or celebrate by taking a decadent, relaxing bath. Or by watching your favorite show. Whatever you are led to, end the day or this time by celebrating your alignment along with any synchronicities that happened, the clarity that came through, the people who came in that made your day better, etc.

What you’ll often find is that by the end of this process, the decision will either now be a non-issue because you’ll just “know” what is next or you’ll be re-directed to actions that are more in alignment with your core mission.

Whatever the case, remember that you have access to your next steps and decisions with ease at all times. Enjoy!
